Carpet:

Carpet is the type of floor product most sold
because of its comfort, softness and decorative quality. Carpet has the highest insulation properties of any other floor covering and serves as a noise reducer. The most common materials in carpets are nylon and polyester offers resistance of odors and is recommended for houses with pets. Both materials can be used in cut pile and Berber textures. There are other materials like polypropylene, for commercial use, and wool, which is the most elegant and softest of all materials, usually more expensive and for more specific jobs. Installation of carpets can be done glued down or with padding.

Textures and Patterns:

Cut pile (plush) is the most commonly used texture. This is a very fine cut pile with small yarn bundle. It usually comes in solid colors giving a very classy look to the room. This type of carpet will show its wear and tear so it is recommended for room with less traffic, like bedrooms and formal living rooms.

Berber is increasing its popularity today due to its various patterns to choose from and its durability for both, residential and commercial. It is a looped carpet and can come in solid colors as well as multicolor patterns. Berbers can be leveled loop, which creates an even texture, or multilevel loop, where the loops are of different sizes as well as heights creating a variety of design patterns.
